Week 67: one I'll never forget

Image
What a freaking week guys. Kid you not, one of my favoritest past 3 days. God is just too good and has just been giving us the coolest miracles. Definitely don't know what I've done to deserve them but I am grateful.  So one of them started off last week when we had to cancel our lesson with a guy named Prakhar because we were stuck in Germany and wouldn't have made it back in time. We rescheduled for this Saturday and planned to meet at a place near our apartment. On our way he called us and was like the church is locked.. we were real confused because we had talked about meeting at the other place and ya we were like well looks like we're going to the church! We were stressing tho because he only had time from 7-7:30 and we rolled up to the church at like 7:20. We ran up and he wasn't outside so we walked in and found him and a recent convert in there talking. Apparently, the member just happened to walk by and saw our friend waiting and let him in! The member a...

Week 66: sleeping at the church

Hallo zäme! A good week out here in der Schweiz! Heads up the first paragraph is pretty long so if you don't read it I'm not offended I just had to include it for the mems.. GOD IS GOOD! Alrighty, I'll try and keep this story short but coming home from MLC was an adventure and took like over 6 hours. First off, we missed our tram to Munich Bahnhof and initially didn't think it was a big deal and just waited for the next one. The only problem was the next one was 10 minutes late and got us to Munich Bahnhof at 16:51 (on the bottom floor of Bahnhof) and our train to Zurich was at 16:52. (on platform 27, top floor)  Then to make matters worse the next train to Zurich wasn't till 18:52. We really didn't want to wait 2 hours in Munich, so on the tram, we decided we at least had to try. As we pulled into Bahnhof it was 16:51, but we prayed, and as the doors opened we sprinted. Don't know how but we made the train!! There is no way we should've made it but we...

Week 65: mom life

Image
Heyyy guys the week was long but also good! My greenie is so cute and it's been so fun seeing her experience everything for the first time. It's brought back so many memories of when I was first a missionary.  Not understanding much and getting really good at acting like I knew what was going on. I'm really glad we're past that haha.  Our first lesson together was amazing. We met with a guy I had found on the street a few weeks ago and were able to teach him about God and how to pray and just super basic things. I had an experience like this one in my last area with the cute Chinese girl and it was like deja vu except this time with a cute little Chinese guy. We were able to help him say his first prayer and it was so simple but so powerful. We were sitting on a bench in the center city so it was not quiet at all but as soon as he started praying it somehow got super quiet. He told God it was his first time talking to him and that he would love to know if he was there a...

Week 64: I'm pregnant! (This means Addi is a trainer to a new missionary- funny terms)

You heard it, I'm gonna be a mom! Stressed? a little… excited? Very! She gets here in about 2 hours and I'm freaking out a little! Send prayers my way:)) I don't have tons of time but we had some amazing miracles this week so I'll share them very quickly!  - We had 3 friends at church on Sunday!! Nothing better than greeting people at the door and then seeing a friend walk up. Ah God is so good.  - On a train, we sat next to a family from Ukraine and we just offered to help them with whatever they needed and they were so nice, and then saw one of our Jesus pass along cards and the mom goes, "I believe" it was so tender and they said they will come to church on Sunday!!  -Sister Atwood and I had the best heart to heart while finding and also saw soooo many miracles on the street. We met the cutest gal that had no idea what her purpose was and we were able to tell her that with Jesus Christ she can find it. Her eyes lit up with hope as we talked and it was the ...

Week 63: ELDER UCHTDORF!!

Image
Happy late Easter everyone! I found this poem that I'd like to share! I feel like it perfectly describes a little bit of the way I feel about our Savior, Jesus Christ. "There is never a day so dreary    But God can make it bright, And unto the soul that trusts Him,    He giveth songs in the night. There is never a path so hidden,    But God can lead the way, If we seek for the Spirit’s guidance    And patiently wait and pray. There is never a cross so heavy    But the nail-scarred hands are there Outstretched in tender compassion    The burden to help us bear. There is never a heart so broken,    But the loving Lord can heal, The heart that was pierced on Calvary    Doth still for His loved ones feel. There is never a life so darkened,    So hopeless and unblessed, But maybe filled with the light of God    And enter His promised rest. There is never a sin or sorrow,    Th...

Week 62: die kleinen Dinge:))

Image
Hey guys! I hope your week was amazing! My week was pretty good, I had a few moments and impulsively dyed my hair so that's fun haha. I also learned that the word Tramp in German is trampolin not landstreicher which is also Tramp but not the one I meant… my mistake I should've written out Trampoline in Google translate. You live and learn.  We saw so many miracles this week and it was awesome! Here's just a few: We had a crazy busy day on Friday but we had a feeling to stop by this cute little member's house to bring her her favorite treat. We went and she was so happy to see us and invited us right in. As we got talking she told us that 32 years ago on that day her husband had passed away and that she was feeling down and then we knocked on her door! Tell me God isn't in the details.  Do you know what language Urdu is! I didn't but on Saturday we did some street finding and as we were filling my comps backpack full of books she grabbed that one last second. S...

Week 61: treat yourself

Image
This week I literally just got treated, physically, spiritually, all the above. To start off the week I had physical therapy and basically got told that I am so tight it feels like I have 3 spines because of all the knots that surround my spine… kinda fun but the treat part is that I got a massage for like 30 minutes and it was awesome. 2nd I got to play soccer in the mud as it was snowing and it was such a blast. Thursday and Friday was MLC  which is basically 2 days of spiritual downpour and then to top it off we had general conference Saturday and Sunday! My heart is so full and so is my brain but I couldn't be happier.  Some things that really touched me this week are: -Life is not always what we think it will be. Will we still believe?  -I am called to love.  -I am exhausted, tired, and beat but I am happy. "This is exactly what I came for." -Answers don't always come immediately but they do come. Trust in him and his timing.  -He never gives up on u...
