Week 63: ELDER UCHTDORF!!

Happy late Easter everyone! I found this poem that I'd like to share! I feel like it perfectly describes a little bit of the way I feel about our Savior, Jesus Christ.

"There is never a day so dreary
But God can make it bright,
And unto the soul that trusts Him,
He giveth songs in the night.

There is never a path so hidden,
But God can lead the way,
If we seek for the Spirit’s guidance
   And patiently wait and pray.

There is never a cross so heavy
But the nail-scarred hands are there
Outstretched in tender compassion
The burden to help us bear.

There is never a heart so broken,
But the loving Lord can heal,
The heart that was pierced on Calvary
Doth still for His loved ones feel.

There is never a life so darkened,
   So hopeless and unblessed,
But maybe filled with the light of God
   And enter His promised rest.

There is never a sin or sorrow,
There is never a care or loss,
But that we may bring to Jesus
And leave at the foot of the cross."

I studied a whole lot about Jesus this week (tis the season) and I just love him!!! I am so grateful for him in my life and that because of him we can have 2nd and 3rd and 4th and a million chances. I am not perfect but I try my best and he makes that enough. With him, on our team, we literally can't lose. And guess what he wants to be on your team so choose him every day. He will always pull through.

Oh also, Elder Uchtdorf was amazing!! I shook that man's hand and the only words that came out of my mouth were "ich hab dich lieb" (I love you!) It's true tho so hopefully, he didn't think that was weird hahaha. He basically gave us like the most powerful, spiritual, uplifting pep talk I have ever received. I am so ready to go preach this beautiful gospel. A couple of things that I loved!

-Be confident and go for it! As long as we have the spirit with us and are speaking from the heart that is enough!
- When we know the importance of our message it makes it easier to want to share it. Find the desire.
-Broken German is endearing so don't worry and speak! The Holy Ghost will translate!
- We have a 24-hour prayer service! Put that faith to use! Go find the miracles that are waiting for you!
-You have nothing to lose. The Savior is on your team and he won't let you down.

1 Peter 5:6-7

My heart is so full! I love this gospel with everything I got. And I love you guys too!! Have a beautiful week!
