Week 75: divine trash

Can you guys believe that next week will be my last weekly ever? Ya me either...

Wednesday we were both just having a rough day. Our ward needs lots of help but no one ever answers us, we don't have a lot of friends, and it's just hard to feel like the work we do is even helping or if it's what we're supposed to do and ya basically we were crying in the kitchen trying to make banana bread... kinda funny looking back but not so funny in the moment. I said a prayer and told god that we would go out and find a miracle but we needed his help. We went to try and go visit a lady and she wasn't home and then it started dumping rain on us and it was getting late so we decided to grab dinner and get on our train back. The train hadn't quite left yet and I had finished my food and wanted to throw my trash away and I looked at my watch and saw
we had 2 minutes. There is a bunch of trash cans on the platforms of the trains so I told my comp I wanted to throw my trash away. We got off, threw the trash away, went to get back on, and the doors had locked and we watched our train drive away... at this point we just start laughing because of course that would happen on our already not great day. We waited for the next train, got on, and ended up sitting across from our miracle. Her name is Imge and she wasn't that interested in the gospel (yet) but she was so nice and told us she would love love talk more! Sooo cool! I learned 3 things. 1) My watch is 2 minutes late. 2) that was some inspired trash and 3) God hears and answers prayers.

We were able to go to The Passion Play yesterday! There's a really cool story behind it. In the 1500s there was a plague ravishing through Europe, and when someone infected came to a little town in Germany, they prayed and promised the lord that if they were spared they would reenact the last week of the Savior's life every 10 years. I was lucky enough to be in germany at the same time! It was really powerful and made me a lot more appreciative of my savior. And not just an overall savior, but one who knows and cares for us personally! I know that my redeemer lives.

Bonus miracle: there were sooo many members at the play so I now know what it feels like to be a celebrity! We literally felt famous and we kept hearing "we love our missionaries!" And "you guys are our heroes" it was so sweet and I felt so loved. Also, I've seriously never had so many people ask to take my picture or want to talk to me haha! It was a nice change from the typical, so pro tip: when you see missionaries go talk to them because it might just make their week!

I hope you guys have an amazing week! Go find your miracles because they are out there!
