Week 25: Cook the Rice
Servus! I hope you all had an amazing week:)) I had a wild one and it was awesome!! Also, this one's kinda long so sorry bout it.
I had a funny German whoops this week. I have them at least 5 times a day but this one made me laugh. We were at a members house and the last time we were there she gave us some coupons and so I was telling her that we used them to buy some things but instead of saying bought (gekauft) I said getauft which means baptized hahaha guess that's just what's on my mind… anyways kinda funny thought I'd share.
We got to get together with our whole mission for a mission conference and it was sooo fun. I am exhausted tho and think I might need a week to recover haha. It started out with a 7-hour train ride straight into street finding. Picture this… 136 missionaries hit the streets in one of the biggest cities in Germany and give out 200+ books of Mormon. Basically coolest thing ever. And your girl gave out her first book of Mormon in Deutsch!!! Let me tell ya it was quite the challenge I probably got turned down 50 times and honestly it was super discouraging. After about 30 times in a row of being laughed at and basically ran away from I said a prayer and asked for just one person to talk to. I kept going and getting turned down but then I saw a lady and she was kinda far away but I told my companion we needed to go talk to her. We made our way over to her and she was soooo nice. She kept saying how much she loves God and was thrilled when I told her we have a book that can bring her even closer to god. When I gave her the book she was so excited and then kissed it! It made my heart so happy and being rejected 50 times was totally worth it. The rest of the conference was good! We got to stay in a hotel with all the missionaries which was a party and then the next day had some workshops and more talks and then headed back! It was such a good little weekend!
Sunday I had a super cool experience. My comp was sick and so it was a super slow day. We usually have a Bible study online with these cute ladies (one of them is a member and then it's a bunch of her friends) but since my comp wasn't feeling up to it we decided to not join the call. I was doing personal study when the phone started ringing and I just ignored it. I had a strong feeling that I should join but ignored it because we didn't plan anything to share (bad, don't do that). As I kept doing personal study I came across a scripture that I felt prompted to share with the group so I quickly hopped on and was able to share the scripture and bear my testimony. As we were reading and talking about the verses one of the ladies kept asking questions about the second coming and what's gonna happen and so the member and I basically taught all the ladies the plan of salvation. The spirit was super strong and it was amazing. I know that God needed me to be there and I'm grateful that when I didn't listen to the prompting he gave me another one. I am going to try and be better at listening to promptings with exactness and invite you all to do it with me. Even if we feel dumb or don't know exactly what we should do, God will provide as we do what he asks.
I love you all so much and am always here if you need anything! :))

I told her Choose The Right and she started laughing so hard and said for the longest time she thought it meant Cook The Rice!!!
