Week 60: schwamendingen Switzerland!!

 Grüezi!

That's how they say hi here and I absolutely love it. Switzerland is amazing and I am so happy here!! The accent, the culture, the views!! It's a literal dream.

Swiss German is something else… I kinda love it tho. It's like German but then add an ee sound at the end of words and sing your sentences haha. So fun! On my train ride from Germany, this lady came up to us and started speaking and I had not a clue what she was saying… for like 3 seconds I thought it might be Swiss German because I had never heard it before and I got really
scared but then we figured out it was Ukrainian…thank goodness haha.

Speaking of Ukraine I have had so many interactions with these wonderful people lately. One specifically was at church, we saw a girl we didn't recognize in the back and so we went and said hi and she just started bawling and like fell into our arms. She tried to explain her story in broken English and Google translate and we tried to help her the best we could. It made my heart hurt seeing her hurt but we were able to tell her God loves her and that he is there for her. I felt grateful to share that with her and hopefully help her feel some peace and hope that she so badly needs. All I know is even though I don't know how she feels someone else does and can help her in the exact way she needs. I found comfort in that as we held her. I think sometimes God gives us opportunities to hold his children for him and I feel grateful he trusts us enough to do it.

This world needs more love, so this week do your normal things but try to do them out of love. It'll change the way you act and treat people. Anyways love you guys!! Have a week full of love!
