Week 53: 1YEAR
I hit my year mark last Wednesday and wow I never thought I'd make it this far! Like actually… all I can say is that God is real. There is no way I would still be out here if I didn't have him carrying me every day. It's been such a cool thing to be able to feel his guidance, presence, and strength. I am so grateful.
Some highlights of the week were eating a chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream from Burger King (literally was like a chocolate melting cake.. sooo good. I don't know if they have it in the states but if they do, I highly recommend it), walking home in the rain singing at the top of our lungs, doing 3 person yoga, and just being able to find joy in little things. Life is such a blessing and I want to enjoy the little moments more!
Kind of a funny, rip of a story… so Marriott and I have been trying to brainstorm ways we can bring our cute little branch together. Everyone here loves going on walks and so we were like what if we did a walk all together! We started to plan it and then brought it up with the relief society president and she goes, well I mean ya you could do it but don't be offended if no one shows up... I wouldn't come.. like straight to our faces told us she wouldn't come!! We went from excited and expecting an enthusiastic answer to being like well… back to square 0. I honestly didn't even know how to answer, like dang girl we're just trying. I just laugh about it now and we are still gonna plan that walk and people are gonna come and it's gonna be awesome. I love Germans. I love Germans. I love Germans. I actually do but dang they are just a little too honest sometimes.
Reflecting back on this last year has been so amazing. I have learned so much and would love to share just a few!
1. What he wants is more important than what I want.
2. You can't find comfort in someone you don't know. Get to know your Savior.
3. God has a plan, and it's a perfect one.
4. His love gives me confidence.
5. It's important to focus on what we do know.
6. Jesus Christ is the source of all Light.
7. Prayer is our personal key to heaven and the lock is on our side of the veil.
8. Complete healing comes through faith in Jesus Christ and his atonement.
9. Don't let fear replace faith.
10. Conversion is an ongoing process.
11. It's never too late to change.
I'm so grateful for this past year and can't wait to keep doing the Lord’s work. It truly is joy and it's cool because you don't have to be a missionary to do it. If you want more joy in your life, share the gospel! So many people are seeking truth they just don't know where to find it. This week pray for missionary opportunities! I promise you won't regret it.

Love you all!
