Week 44: frankfurt temple!!

 Hello everyone;)) 


Not gonna lie this week I just kinda felt down.. my comp goes home in 9 days right before Christmas and I think it's getting to me that I don't get to go with her and be with my fam for Christmas also idk why but I have just been struggling all around so that has been a little tough. However, God has been really helping me and for that, I am very grateful. 


Friday we went street finding with our zone and before we went I prayed to have just one good conversation with someone. We hit the streets and I started searching for the one. I saw this girl and it was as clear as day that she was who I was supposed to talk to. I went up to her not knowing what I was gonna say. And what came out was definitely not what I expected. I straight up told her I am from America, I miss my home and family, and that being here is really hard. But that I'm here because I love Jesus Christ. When I said those words it hit me. That is why I'm here and even though it sucks sometimes he is the reason that I'm still out here. He's always been the reason. He picks me up when I'm down, he cries when I cry, he's felt everything I feel, and he will never leave me. Because of Him, we are never alone no matter how lonely we may feel. The girl was sooo nice and we had such a good conversation. She said she would love to learn more about our message and come to church! She isn't in my area sadly so I'm gonna have to pass her to other missionaries but she was such an answer to my prayers and I am so grateful.

I think God really just knew I needed a lot of pick-me-ups this week because I also had the opportunity to go to the temple!! A member invited us to come with her and even though the Frankfurt temple isn't in our mission we were able to get permission and go and it was the best thing ever. As a bonus, we also got to go the night before and see the Christmas markets in frankfurt! I feel so lucky because all the ones in our mission are closed because of dumb rona but I got to experience it and it was so pretty. We also got to sleep in temple housing which was way cool. This was the first time I'd been back to the temple since I went through for myself 10 months ago and it was exactly what I needed. The spirit that is there is indescribable. I just felt so much light and joy and happiness. I am so grateful for the temple and the promises we make there. 


I am grateful for Jesus Christ and for his light in my life. He keeps me going every day.

  Servus! I hope you all had an amazing week:)) I had a wild one and it was awesome!! Also, this one's kinda long so sorry bout it.  I had a funny German whoops this week. I have them at least 5 times a day but this one made me laugh. Week 39: tracting! And ET?

  Being on a mission is a roller coaster let me tell ya… some days are just the best and others ya not so much but hard things make us stronger if we let them and that is something I am grateful for.  So I basically got told yesterday that I am being ET'd in a week!!! I am so sad about it! I was almost positive I was gonna be transferred but I was expecting to at least finish out the transfer. Anyways I've basically been living here in Austria illegally for about 3 months.. I don't have any visa and they're basically gonna have to sneak me over the border so that's kinda scary… don't know what's gonna happen because I also don't have a German visa and ya it's just a big mess. Pray, I don't get deported! On Thursday we finally had a free afternoon with no appointments, so we decided to stop by some less active members. Week 11: Life is Good

  Hey y'all!! We had zone conference this week and oh man it was too good. We talked a lot about giving it our all out here on the mission. We only get this experience once and so we need to give it 100%. I loved hearing all of the missionaries talk about their experiences and it made me remotivated to keep working hard and doing my best every day! We also had exchanges this week which was super fun! I got to go to Madison Mississippi for a day! They actually have stores and restaurants and stuff… very different than our small town here in Mendenhall.  Kinda a silly story for y'all… we were walking to a member's house and this boy was walking right behind us and slowly caught up to us and so we said hi and he had a very thick accent so we didn't really know what he was saying.
