Week 42: speechless
What's up guys! Your girl is back and idk why my weekly's have just been getting so long.. sorry bout it! If you're reading this right now you are amazing and I love you.
The week was pretty decent. Last pday my comp got hit in the head with a ball when we were playing dodgeball with our zone and probably got concussed so we had to take it pretty slow. If you know me you know I got lots of energy and am not very good at sitting still for too long so ya there was that and also it's freezing here so it's not very fun to be outside. Despite that though I have some cool stories to report.
One of the days we were out on the street and we passed this house and on the door, it had a cute little Willkommen sign. My comp and I both pointed at it at the same time and we're like yep we're knocking this door. A guy answered and starting conversations is always a lil awkward so my comp goes, we saw the sign on your door and it said welcome so here we are! The guy just looked at us and was like you know that's not literal and we were like ya hahaha but we do have a message that we would like to share. We then explained the Book of Mormon and were able to give him one! We testified and the spirit was amazing and after we had finished he just stood there speechless. It was seriously such a cool feeling. We left and both were just shocked at what had just happened. Sooo cool!
We decided to go back the next day and right as we walked up to the house he and his wife were walking out the door. They told us to come back the next day and so the next day as we were getting ready to go back I kept having the question of "would you like to be with your wife forever?" Pop in my mind and it just kept repeating which was odd because we were just gonna hit him with the restoration. Anyways we went and knocked again and the guy answered and told us he had to give the book back. We both were a lil shocked because we know he felt the spirit when we met the first time, it was there and it was undeniable. As he went to shut the door the question just came out of my mouth. There was no stopping it. He paused and looked at me and then said something like ya that would be really cool if it could happen. I told him it can happen and that families can be together forever and that that is one of the things that brings me the most joy, knowing that I get to be with my family forever. I also was able to say some other things that I really don't remember but once again this man just stood there speechless with tears in his eyes. We left him with a plan of salvation pamphlet and told him (in my comps words), "we are here when you get enough courage to actually read the book that will change your life". BOLD. SPIRITUAL. KINDA LEGENDARY. It was awesome. I hope he really thinks about the spirit that was there and we hear from him. Such a cool experience.

Along with that, I think we gave out like 15 Books of Mormon this week! Two of those, people literally waited for us to run all the way to our apartment to get the right language they needed and one of them waited and watched us get bashed for like 45 minutes just so she could get one even after hearing all of the anti stuff this guy had to say. She also backed us up and said to the guy, "how can you even say any of that if you haven't read it?" You tell him, girl! It was just so cool to see how last week we talked about how the Book of Mormon is key to conversion and is the most important tool here and then to see so many miracles this week with it! It is true! If you're not reading it every day I encourage you to start! It will answer your questions, give you guidance, peace, comfort and we all know we need that.
