Week 35: I love love

Hey guys! I'm freaking tired and it's past my bedtime so I hope this makes sense..

First, just wanted to give a lil update. If you have been following my emails I talked about a guy that I was gonna ask to help get the key unstuck from our mailbox but then I was able to get it out and ya that probably doesn't make a whole lot of sense if you didn't read that email but ya. Basically, there was a guy and it was way cool how we met and we set up an appointment and we were super excited because he seemed way interested! But a couple days before the appointment he texted and said hey is your other friend gonna be there? If so I can bring my friend and we can get dinner and maybe drinks? So then we were like freak and had to tell him our purpose as missionaries again and ya… he didn't respond and so it was just a bit awkward but it gets worse. This man works at the building right under us and it's made of glass… so every time we pass we just put our heads down and walk as fast as we can. My dad asked about him tonight and I had totally forgotten to give yall the update on him so ya there you go.

We had a super busy week, filled with tender mercies and it was just so good, and then to top it off we had general conference! As a missionary, I feel like it's better than Christmas! I find myself constantly searching for answers, for inspiration for our friends, for strength, and for guidance, and this weekend I got hit with things I've been seeking guidance for and things I didn't know I was seeking for but needed. I literally feel so blessed and grateful that we have a prophet and apostles that truly speak from God. I'm also grateful for a God that knows his children perfectly and individually. He knows me and I felt that as I heard things this weekend that I knew came straight from him.

I loved the general theme of love and how literally everything in the gospel is centered on it. This quote really stuck out to me, "can he rely on my love, as I rely on his." I know that God loves me and that gives me strength. I know without a doubt that I would not be out here if it wasn't for the strength and love I feel from him every day. I want to work on showing God that I love him and I invite you guys to do the same. If we give everything to him he will give everything to us. His will will become our will. BE ALL IN.

John 15: 9-15

Lots of love for all of you! Make it a great week!
