Week 21: smiles and nods

 Hello Everyone!!

This week consisted of lots of smiling and nodding haha. I think I've almost mastered the skill of trying to look like I know what's going on when I really have no clue.

I got to have a little bit of an adventure from Thursday to Saturday! My comp and the other STL here in Vienna had MLC in Munich which left me and Sister Middleton here in Vienna to fend for ourselves. We both at that point had been here for a week and ya it was kinda awesome. We went out and saw some

cool places here and we didn't get lost on the public transport!! So basically were locals haha I've never been so grateful for Google maps. We also tried to give out some pass-along cards with the little German we have and it was funny. We were able to give out 2! The first guy that took it didn't speak German or English. He actually spoke Persian and so I think he took it so we would stop trying to talk to him but it was a win for us. And the 2nd one we gave out we just slyly dropped it into this old couple's bag hahaha kinda legendary if you ask me. Anyway, it was nice to have a couple of days with Sister Middleton because we both are going through the same struggles.

On Sunday I had to give a talk… ya if you know me you know how much I hate speaking! So giving a talk in German had me about dead of anxiety. I swear my legs turned into noodles as I walked up there. I was able to read what I had Google-translated thankfully even though it was a bit blurry from how bad I was shaking. Grateful that God helped me be able to actually speak and not just pass out. After church, I felt so relieved and so many of the members were so kind and kept thanking me for what I said. I really don't know what I said so I'm very grateful that the spirit was able to be there.

The topic I spoke on was Joseph Smith. As I prepared for my talk I felt so much gratitude for Joseph Smith and for all that he went through for the church. He is such a good example to me of having faith and doing what God asks of us even when it's hard. I also have felt extra grateful for the scriptures and the guidance and comfort they provide. I know that God is always there and wants to help us. We just need to reach out to him. I am so grateful for a loving God that is always there and that loves us so much. I have felt his love so much this week and I am so grateful for that. He loves you and I love you!!

Have the greatest week EVER!!
