Week 19: Croation vacation

Time for the weekly update, y'all ready? This week has been pretty much a vacation. Haha, never thought that I'd have a vacation on the mish but here we are. I am still in Croatia in "quarantine", and if y'all ever have to quarantine I would definitely recommend doing it like this! This week included a lot of German, studies, missionaries, and the beautiful city of Zagreb!

To give you an idea, this is kinda a sample of our daily schedule.

6:30: Work out and get ready

8: Breakfast at the hotel, which is so good!! They have the best croissants I have ever had.

9-12: German Class! It's been overwhelming but good and I'm learning a lot! Also shout out to the Frankfurt District, who gave our teacher (she isn't a member) a Croatian Book of Mormon and have been teaching her the lessons!

12-4: Go out and explore Zagreb! Get some lunch which normally includes a bakery and Gelato and a container of strawberries. The strawberries here are seriously my favorite thing ever!

4: All the studies

6: Dinner at the hotel which has been descent. It's been an adjustment coming from Mississippi where everything is so seasoned to super bland food here haha. I'm basically famous for saying "wo is die ranch?" Haha, I miss ranch.. and barbecue sauce... and Tony's...and ice... They don't do ice here and I crave cold water!

7: Every night we get to watch "The Chosen" and I absolutely love it!!

8:30- Nightly Devotional with missionaries from the Alpine mission!

9- Girls night!

So basically we are living the dream, haha.

Yesterday we were walking around and in the plaza, they had set up a giant screen to watch Croatia play in the European cup. There were so many people and they all were decked out! It was seriously so cool and basically, a dream come true. I love how passionate everyone is about soccer! My kind of people.

I mentioned it last week but there are about 60 missionaries here, all going to one of the 3 missions in Germany. I am so grateful to be here because it has given me the opportunity to meet and get to know so many of them! Yesterday, during Sunday school they gave us time to share what we have been learning in our personal study. It was so powerful to be in a room filled with missionaries sharing their testimonies. We are all in the same spot, with starting this new adventure.  I felt so much love not only from the missionaries but from our Heavenly Father. What everyone said assured and testified to me of how much my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love me and are aware of me. This week has been amazing, but I've also been worried and anticipating the change that's coming. Between the new culture, a new mission, and a new language, it's easy to question what I'm doing. It was powerful and exactly what I needed to be surrounded by missionaries testifying of Christ and the work. There are so many scriptures I want to share, but D&C 31, has been on my mind a lot this week and as I've read it I've found so much comfort, especially in verse 3 when it says: "Lift up your heart and rejoice, for the hour of your mission is come; and your tongue shall be loosed, and you shall declare glad tidings of great joy unto this generation". I know I am exactly where I am supposed to be! And though this is a crazy change, I will never be alone. The Lord will always be with me and has prepared me for this time. I am so so excited for what's to come!

This upcoming week will be exciting! On Thursday we travel to Munich, then I'll learn where I'm going! Stay tuned! Next week I'll be writing from either Germany, Austria or Switzerland! CRAZY!! I hope y'all have the best week! Please remember that the Lord is aware of you and loves you! Nothing will change that! Have the bestest week ever!

Also,
I became an aunt today and I am sooooo happy!! My heart is so full.  God is so good. I love my Clark baby already!!

Love y'all so much!
