Week 14: Baptism!!
Helloooo! Hope y'all had the greatest week ever! First I'd like to say happy mothers day to all you moms out there! Especially grateful for my beautiful mom. She is seriously the best mom I could ever ask for. She makes me so excited to be a mom and I hope I can be half the mom that she is to my future family.
Saturday was the big day for our guy Ernest!! So all week we got to prepare for that. We had to go to our church and scrub the font and that took us like 2 hours because it hasn't been used for over a year and there was a lot of dust and spiders and it was kinda nasty but we were happy to do it! We called like every person in our branch and invited them to come to support Ernest and lots of people said they would come so we were way excited about that. Saturday came and about 5 people showed up so that was sad but also kind of expected… People here are very flaky but the important thing is that Ernest was happy and he was sooo happy!! It was so cool to be able to be a part of his special day. He is the best guy and we are sooo happy for him!
We got to go fishing with some members this week and I learned something… I am not good at casting a fishing pole hahaha like I'm the actual worst. I cast it behind me into the woods more than I actually got into the water so that was fun. Every time I would go to cast everyone would make a big deal about it and back far away from me. Probably smart. Low key I think it was the pole haha.
This week I am super grateful for the Covenants we are able to make at baptism and the happiness we feel from keeping those Covenants. God is so good.
