Week 13: Jesus is in Alabama?

Today marks my 3 months of being a missionary!!! So crazy to think about. I have learned so much and have grown so much. I am so grateful to be a missionary!!

This week we met a girl named Brianna and she is so cute! She has very little knowledge about any religion and just wants to come closer to Christ. She bought a Bible and asked if we could help her study it! We are gonna be meeting with her every Tuesday and Thursday and we are super excited!!

In one of our Bible studies, this week Sister Jaster was saying something about how amazing it will be when Jesus comes to the earth again. And the lady cut her off and said, "Comes back??" And then goes, "Honey Jesus is on the earth… He's in Alabama!" We both were caught off guard and did our best to not bust out laughing. The lady then goes off for about 20 minutes telling us stories about Jesus being in Alabama and it was very entertaining, to say the least. I seriously never know what people here are gonna say.

I am soooo grateful for the holy ghost. We had an experience this week where we felt super protected by listening to the spirit. We have been teaching this guy and for some reason, after our lesson, we both just felt so uneasy about going over there anymore. We both don't know why but I know without a doubt that the spirit is there to protect us and to keep us away from harm.

One of my favorite quotes that I read about every day says, "Therefore, how can you and I really expect to glide naively through life as if to say, 'Lord give me experiences but not grief, not sorrow, not pain, not opposition, not betrayal, and certainly not to be forsaken.' Keep from me, Lord, all those experiences which made thee what thou art!"

Being a missionary is hard... being human is hard… we all have bad days, hard weeks, even hard years but I know that we are given these things to become better. As we turn to God we will find comfort, peace, and strength.

Mosiah 24: 14-15

Go read that scripture haha it seriously is so comforting. Y'all are the best thank you for all the prayers! Love you!!
