Week 9: The one where we tried to outrun a cop...

Hello everybody:)) I hope Easter was amazing for y'all. I'm so grateful for our savior and his resurrection. It's so comforting to know that because he rose we can rise again too. We can rise from our shortcomings, our mistakes, our failures, our inadequacies… all because of him. I LOVE JESUS CHRIST.

Conference was amazing. If you haven't watched it go watch it. I went in with three questions that I wanted guidance on and it was almost if my questions were the topic of three of the speakers. Amazing!! God is too good.

Crazy story time… so Sister Jaster and I have been going to this lake that we found and no one is ever there so we were thinking that it's closed but we found a way to hike in and it's not blocked off or anything so we've been going there a lot. On Tuesday we hiked down there and then it started pouring so we ran back to the car. When we got in, this truck was driving past and it slowed down and stopped right next to our car. We were in the middle of nowhere and got super scared so we drove off super quick… the truck turned around and started following us!! We drove to the end of the road and turned around. We were now at a community college campus and felt safer because we were somewhere public. We went to turn around out of the parking lot but the truck had blocked the way to get out. We decided just to pull up next to the truck because it was the only way out and oh my goodness it was a cop!! So we basically were trying to outrun a cop… whoops! Luckily he was super nice and we told him we were just scared and didn't know he was a cop and he just laughed at us and then told us the lake is closed and we can't go down there anymore… sad. But blessings that he was so nice.

We got to go to a nondenominational church this week and it was interesting, to say the least. We also got to teach someone that had a 36 page PowerPoint on anti stuff. That was super fun… it was super hard because every time we'd try to answer her question or just talk about misconceptions she wouldn't listen and would just look at her PowerPoint thinking of the next thing she was gonna throw at us. A learning experience for sure. These experiences made me extremely grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ and the truths we have from it. I know without a doubt that our church is the true church and nothing anyone says can ever change that.

This week look for opportunities to share your testimony with others, even if it's just by your example. People need the message of the gospel, it is how we find true happiness! I love you all<3
