Week 10: Miss Minnie's backup singers

 





Never a dull moment here in Mississippi… 

We met the coolest lady this week. Her name is Miss Minnie and she loves to sing... like when I say love I mean I've heard her sing more than she talks and she never stops. It's so awesome. We got to be her backup singers one time too!! I'll attach a video so yall don't miss out.

She asked us to come do some service for her and told us she had some overgrow that she wanted gone. We showed up and I didn't see any overgrowth, just a cute little house in the middle of the forest. Confused, we asked her what she wanted and she pointed to the forest… I really don't know how two of us can cut down a forest with little clippers haha, but we went to work and made a tiny dent. I have never enjoyed yard work and forest work is even worse. Also, it was 80° and sooo humid and all the bugs just wanted to be my friend. 

All worth it though because we now have a new friend and she loves us. She invited us to her birthday dinner with a bunch of her friends and family and we got to meet a bunch of new people. She kept introducing us as her missionaries and told everyone we do service… We've already gotten two calls from her friends asking for help and she knows about every person in Mendenhall so I'm sure we're gonna be getting a lot more…

I'm super grateful to be able to help and serve others. This week look for opportunities to serve!!  It seriously will bring you so much joy. I bet you can guess what scripture I want to share this week.

  Servus! I hope you all had an amazing week:)) I had a wild one and it was awesome!! Also, this one's kinda long so sorry bout it.  I had a funny German whoops this week. I have them at least 5 times a day but this one made me laugh. We were at a members house and the last time we were there she gave us some coupons and so I was telling her that we used them to buy some things but instead of saying bought (gekauft) I said getauft which means baptized hahaha guess that's just what's on my mind… anyways kinda funny thought I'd share. Week 39: tracting! And ET?

  Being on a mission is a roller coaster let me tell ya… some days are just the best and others ya not so much but hard things make us stronger if we let them and that is something I am grateful for.  So I basically got told yesterday that I am being ET'd in a week!!! I am so sad about it! I was almost positive I was gonna be transferred but I was expecting to at least finish out the transfer. Anyways I've basically been living here in Austria illegally for about 3 months.. I don't have any visa and they're basically gonna have to sneak me over the border so that's kinda scary… don't know what's gonna happen because I also don't have a German visa and ya it's just a big mess. Pray, I don't get deported! On Thursday we finally had a free afternoon with no appointments, so we decided to stop by some less active members. Week 11: Life is Good

  Hey y'all!! We had zone conference this week and oh man it was too good. We talked a lot about giving it our all out here on the mission. We only get this experience once and so we need to give it 100%. I loved hearing all of the missionaries talk about their experiences and it made me remotivated to keep working hard and doing my best every day! We also had exchanges this week which was super fun! I got to go to Madison Mississippi for a day! They actually have stores and restaurants and stuff… very different than our small town here in Mendenhall.  Kinda a silly story for y'all… we were walking to a member's house and this boy was walking right behind us and slowly caught up to us and so we said hi and he had a very thick accent so we didn't really know what he was saying.
